7 Kid-Friendly Foods to Pack for Your Next Shabbat Picnic

When the weather warms up and the days are longer, it’s a perfect excuse for a picnic. On Friday nights, instead of staying in, venture outside with your family for a special Shabbat picnic. Spread a blanket out in the backyard, meet up with friends at a local park, or watch the sunset at the beach. Grab some take-out or challah and already prepped chicken for your picnic, or use one of the fast, kid-approved, and best of all, healthy recipes below. Each of these sides, salads, or snacks can be made in advance and taste delicious when served as part of a picnic spread. Mix and match a few, pair one with a grocery store rotisserie chicken, or bring one along to your next potluck.
