Together Experiences FAQs

You must apply for your event before May 1, 2021 and reports must be submitted no later than May 31, 2021.

To find out if the PJ Library community that you are a part of is participating, please click here. Many of our small and midsize communities across the US and Canada are participating this year. If your community is not on this list, you are not eligible to participate at this time. We are working to greatly expand the program in the coming years, so watch your email for updates from PJ Library!
 

To apply to host your Together Experience and if you have not used this system before, click here and then click the ‘New Applicant’ button to set up your account.

If you are applying for a Together Experience and have used the system before, click here and then log in with the email and password you previously used. A new application should pop up for you to fill out. (**Do not click on the new applicant button**).

To apply, you will also need to copy and paste your personal application code, which you can find in the Together Experiences application email in your inbox. 

Each family is eligible to host one Together Experience for financial reimbursements this round which ends on May 31, 2021. Any additional applications will not be processed.

We’ve tried to make it easy for you and have curated 4 experiences we think you may enjoy: Pajama Havdalah, Book Club, Jewish Food Experience, or Game Time.

We understand not all ideas work for all families. If you would like to Create Your Own Together Experience, you may do so as long as it meets the following criteria:

• Invite 2-5 other Jewish families 
• Centered around Jewish holidays, culture or values
• All experiences must be virtual

Together Experiences do not include: celebrating personal milestone events (birthdays, anniversaries); Jewish organizational outings/events; events open to the community; or combining multiple reimbursements for the same Together Experience. 
 

You are required to have at least two other Jewish families participate in the experience. You can host up to 5 families. All experiences must be virtual.

No problem! If the date of the event changes, it’s ok - we will see the change when you fill out the report after your event (remember you only have through May 31, 2021 to host your Together Experience and apply for reimbursement.)

If your event changes, the event must still meet the criteria for the Together Experiences program.

We will send you an email within three business days to let you know whether your application request has been approved or denied. 
Please note: We cannot accept applications for events that have already happened.
 

We would love for your PJ Our Way kids to host Together Experiences with their friends too! Parents need to apply and submit the report on behalf of your child. The Together Experience can be for families or just PJOW kids only.

You can click here to log back into your account to submit your report when ready. Make sure to use the same email you used when submitting your application. Once you’re logged in you should see this screen:

Click on “Reports” to access the report that you must complete after you have your event.

To upload your photo(s), click on the “Upload Photos” button on the report. These pictures WILL NOT BE USED in any way without your explicit written permission.

You can log back into the report later, but make sure you hit the “Save” button before you leave the report. Remember to hit “Submit” when you have finished the report. If you don’t hit either Submit or Save you will have to start over!

In order to be reimbursed for a Together Experience, you do need to include at least one photo in your report.  Your pictures WILL NOT BE USED in any way without your explicit written permission. If you are not able to take pictures due to Shabbat restrictions or you do not want your photos to show your guests, you can take pictures of the preparation, the table set up or the activities that you will do during the event. Feel free to be creative!

You will receive an email shortly after your report is approved asking you to select your preferred method of reimbursement (virtual or physical pre-paid card). You must respond to that email within 90 days in order to be reimbursed as the link will expire after that time. Please contact together@pjlibrary.org if you do not receive an email after your report is approved.

For Canadian residents: The pre-paid card will be issued in USD. It can be used at retailers across Canada.

Once you receive your reimbursement (virtual or physical), you will need to use it within six (6) months. The expiration date will be printed on the physical card or included in the email that contains the virtual card.

If you need a new reimbursement card, please contact daVinci Payments at 877-325-8444. Please note that we will not be able to issue any new cards after September 30, 2021.
