Create Your Own “Together Experience"

Do you have a different idea for a fun virtual Jewish experience? We LOVE that!

Click to apply now and let us know your plan. No lengthy college admissions essay needed, just a few sentences to tell us:

  1. The general theme and idea for the experience.
(Ex: “A virtual campfire with camp friends.”)

  2. The main components or activities. If it’s not obvious, let us know how the activities will work on a group video call.
(Ex. “My kids will be singing camp songs together with their friends. We’ll invite the camp songleader to zoom in with us!”)

  3. Examples of how you could spend your Together Experience host reimbursement to enhance the fun.
(Ex. “We’ll send out s’mores kits to all our friends.”)

Your Together Experience plan must also meet the following criteria:

  • Invite 2-5 other Jewish families
  • Centered around Jewish holidays, culture, or values
  • All experiences must be virtual

Together Experiences do not include: celebrating personal milestone events (birthdays, anniversaries); Jewish organizational outings/events; events open to the community; or combining multiple reimbursements for the same Together Experience.

After your Together Experience, make sure to let us know how it went, and if you’d do anything differently. We might just want to make your idea one of the recommended options for everyone!

Apply Now

Make sure to submit your host application by May 1, 2021. To apply, you’ll need to copy and paste your personal application code, which you’ll find in the Together Experiences emails in your inbox.

Hosts will receive instructions on submitting a post-event report. That’s where you can request up to $50 in reimbursement for hosting expenses. Note that only first-time hosts can receive reimbursement, but your family can host as many Together Experiences as you’d like. Be sure to complete your event and submit a report by May 31, 2021. A limited number of Together Experiences are available for reimbursement, and we can only offer one host reimbursement per family.
