Last week we shared Part 1 of our Tu B'Shevat events round-up. We're back to show you how even more PJ Library Communities celebrated this special day. Let's get right to it!
PJ Library in Buffalo braved the snow for a day of fun at Tifft Nature Preserve. Their event was featured on the local news! Watch the full segment here.
PJ Library in Winnipeg ventured to the Manitoba Children’s Museum for a Tu B’Shevat event with crafts, face painting, and cake! (All photos by Elaine Halpert Photography).
Earlier in the month, PJ Library in Los Angeles worked with the Whizin Center for Continuing Education and AJU's Sperber Community Library to hold a special “Grandparent & Me” Tu B’Shevat event. Attendees listened to a story, sang songs, watched a puppet show, and enjoyed a delicious and healthy fruit salad snack together.
Continuing the fun, at this past weekend's Family Camp Weekend, PJ Library in Los Angeles marked the birthday of the trees at the Shalom Institute, Malibu. Twenty-three PJ Library families (45 children) experienced a weekend full of fun activities like a birthday party for the trees, family time, nature, PJ Library stories and a Story Walk. Thank you to Program Coordinator, Jessica Jablon for sending us their beautiful photo slideshow below.
PJ Library in Columbus took over the Franklin Park Conservatory Palm House during their event. More than 85 families came out to explore, enjoy books, and dance together. (Photos by Alyssa Russell).
PJ Library in Broward County had a special table set up at a Tu B’Shevat event in their community. Families visited the PJ Library table to paint flower pots, color, and receive parsley seeds. Over 100 parsley seed cards were handed out! Thank you to Marney Tokar for sending us these photos.
