And we are so glad that your family is going to be a part of it.
What is changing?
Starting in April 2018, each child living in enrolled households will receive their own Jewish-themed, age-appropriate book.
When will the change go into effect?
Beginning with the April 2018 mailing.
What do I need to do?
If you provided the names of all your children when you signed up for PJ Library, no action is required. If there are children between the ages of 6 months-8 years in your household whose names do not currently appear on your PJ Library envelopes, sign them up now!
Is it really free?
Yes! PJ Library is a gift from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, PJ Alliance funding partners, local donors, and other families like yours, so that all children being raised Jewish in New York have the chance to explore and experience Jewish values and traditions through PJ Library.
Why is this change being made?
The PJ Library Book Selection Committee chooses eight unique titles each month, one for each age between 1-8 years. This change will allow PJ Library to deliver each child in New York a developmentally-appropriate book each month. To learn more about how PJ Library selects books, click here.
Will I receive duplicate books?
No. Each child will receive a unique age-appropriate book each month. PJ Library strives to never send a family the same title more than once.
Can I choose to only receive one book?
All enrolled children in New York will receive their own book. If you would prefer to receive only one book for your children to share, you may cancel one or more subscriptions here or by emailing email@example.com.
What if my child is too old for PJ Library?
If your child is between the ages of 9 -11, we have good news! They are eligible for PJ Our Way, the next chapter of PJ Library. PJ Our Way subscribers choose their own free Jewish chapter book each month. Learn more and sign up at www.pjourway.org.
