Getting Started
What is the time frame for Get Togethers?
Applications are open between December 2, 2024 and June 6, 2025. Reports must be submitted no later than June 16 , 2025 if you are interested in receiving a financial reimbursement.
How do I know if I'm eligible to participate in Get Togethers?
All of our current PJ Library and PJ Our Way families in the US and Canada are eligible to host a Get Together this year!
If you received an email or mailed postcard with a unique link or QR code, you are eligible to participate. If you did not receive a unique link via email or QR code via mailed postcard and you are a PJ Library subscriber, please contact, gettogether@pjlibrary.org for your personalized link.
If you are not yet a PJ Library subscriber, click HERE to become one today!
How do I apply to host a Get Together?
To apply to host your Get Together, you will need to click on the unique link sent to you by PJ Library. The link was included in an email from Tracy, PJ Library and through the QR code printed on a postcard we sent in the mail. Further instructions will be provided when you access the application.
Want to create your own Get Together experience?
We've provided a few themes and suggestions for Get Together events you could host, but if you've got another idea for a great gathering centered around Jewish holidays, culture, or values, we'd LOVE to support it! Your Get Together plan must also meet the following criteria:
- Invite at least 2 other Jewish families (other than your own), no more than 10 families.
- Centered around Jewish holidays, culture, or values.
Get Togethers do not include the celebration of personal milestone events (e.g., birthday, anniversary, bris, or baby naming), Jewish organizational outings/events, or events open to the community. You also cannot combine multiple reimbursements for the same Get Together Experience.
How many families can I host?
You are required to have at least two other families raising Jewish children (other than your own) attend the gathering. You can host up to 10 families at your gathering. Please keep in mind Get Togethers are intended to bring small groups of people together to deepen, renew or create new friendships.
Not sure who to invite to your Get Together? Think about your child’s friends from preschool, camp or activities that you don’t know very well. Or make it a reunion from your preschool class as the kids get older. You can always ask your local PJ Professional to connect you with other local families!
How will I be notified if I am approved?
We will send you an email within 3-5 business days to let you know if your application request has been approved or denied.
Please note: We cannot accept applications for events that have occurred prior to December 2, 2024.
How do Get Togethers work for PJ Our Way kids?
We would love for your PJ Our Way kids to Get Together with their friends too! Parents need to apply and submit the report on behalf of their child. The Get Together can be for families or just PJOW kids only. The Get Together still need to meet the following criteria:
- Invite at least 2 other Jewish families (other than your own), no more than 10 families.
- Centered around Jewish holidays, culture, or values.
After the Event:
