About this Community

UJA of Wilmington is a proud part of The Jewish Federations of North America's (JFNA) Network of Independent Communities. Our mission is to build community among the Jewish people of southeastern North Carolina, assuring continuity from generation to generation. Recognizing that each Jew is responsible, one for another, UJA of Wilmington promotes the welfare of the Jewish people in our community, in Israel and worldwide. We accomplish our mission by:

  • Developing Jewish educational and cultural activities
  • Promoting an understanding of Jewish culture and concerns
  • Fostering cooperation and effectiveness of existing local Jewish organizations
  • Developing human and financial resources to meet Jewish needs
  • Building a strong relationship with our community at large
