About this Community

THE MISSION OF THE JEWISH FEDERATION of the Quad Cities is to preserve and enrich Jewish communal life through innovative leadership that is responsive and responsible to Jewish communities locally, nationally, in Israel and throughout the world. We are committed to the values of social justice, human rights, caring and compassion that transform lives and help heal the world.

Founded in 1980 as a non-profit, 501 c (3) corporation, the Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities has served both the Jewish and non-Jewish communities of the Quad Cites in many ways to include the following:

  • Presenting community-wide projects, such as Beyond the Holocaust: Lessons for Today in 2005, which featured the Anne Frank: A History for Today exhibit, and the 2007 Coexistence: The Art of Living Today exhibit.
  • Teaching teachers how to teach the Holocaust through the Teacher Institute on Holocaust Education
  • Providing social services, including kosher meals, to needy members of our community
  • Partnering with other community organizations on matters such as education, social policy, and promoting tolerance and understanding.
  • Being a sponsoring agency for the yearly Holocaust Remembrance Program.
  • Conducting and participating in interfaith programs.
  • Participating in youth camp scholarship programs.

The Jewish Federation of the Quad Cities is committed to helping secure the future of Jewish community in the Quad Cities and the surrounding areas. We will help Jews of all ages and affiliations engage in Jewish life. We will protect the weak and those in danger. We will do whatever it takes to keep our kids Jewish. We will make a difference in Jewish lives.
