About this Community

THE IOWA CITY AREA has about 400 families. About 200 of them are members of Agudas Achim Synagogue, which is affiliated with both the Reform and Conservative movements. Iowa City is the home of the University of Iowa, with which most of our members are affiliated. The synagogue is the center of organized Jewish life in the area and provides Jewish education for learners of all ages and abilities.
