Make a Drum With Recycled Materials for Sigd

Illustration of kids playing with a drum and a man playing a krar

Ethiopian musical instruments include stringed instruments like the single-stringed masenqo and the five-stringed krar, wooden or bamboo flutes like the washint, and, of course, drums like the nagarit. Here’s an easy African-style drum you can make and play.
