Make Handmade Hanukkah Cards

When Hanukkah comes, it’s hard to be far away from friends and family. Let the people you love know you’re thinking about them by sending them a special handmade menorah on a card.

This Activity Works With These Books:

Supplies

  • Card stock
  • Colorful construction paper (or magazines that you can cut up)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Markers

Directions

  • Fold your card stock into the shape of a greeting card.
  • Draw a simple menorah across the front, then cut the construction paper (or colorful pieces of magazine) into the shape of candles in various colors.
  • Glue the candles onto the menorah and draw yellow flames on top of each one.
  • Write a special message inside that lets recipients know that you are thinking of them.
  • Head to the post office to mail your cards.
