TWELVE WINNERS and 50 Honorable Mentions have been selected as standouts in the Voices & Visions Make-a-Poster contest.
Over the course of the last three months, from Aug. 1 through Oct. 19, hundreds of creative and inspiring posters were submitted by children ages 7–12 from across North America. The Make-a-Poster Contest judges were tasked with narrowing the many brilliant submissions down just 12.
THE MAKE-A-POSTER CONTEST
The Make-a-Poster contest was co-sponsored by PJ Library and Voices & Visions with the goal of enabling young artists to express their ideas surrounding tikkun olam – the repair of the world.
The posters were inspired by the "voice" of Rabbi Lawrence Kushner, who wrote:
"When you see something that is broken, fix it. When you find something that is lost, return it. When you see something that needs to be done, do it. In that way, you will take care of your world and repair creation. If all the people in the world were to do so, our world would truly be a Garden of Eden."

Voices & Visions, a program of the
Harold Grinspoon Foundation is an art initiative aimed at giving "vision" to Jewish "voices" of the past and present. The program "aims to inspire conversation, instill pride, and spark creativity among diverse audiences and ages."
