San Francisco Bay Area Community Shares PJ Video

RESEARCH SHOWS that the experiences of the first five years of life go a long way toward establishing a child's sense of self. The Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund is doing a lot of work to share this message with their constituents and to promote PJ Library as a tool for Jewish families raising young children.

PJ Library and the Early Childhood Education Initiative (ECEI) of the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund reaches over 3,600 children in the San Francisco Federation Service Area and over 6,200 children throughout the entire Bay Area (including East Bay and Silicon Valley enrollees). In partnership with the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, Federation funding, and the generosity of the Jim Joseph Foundation, PJ Library books are available free of charge throughout the Bay Area.

"PJ Library enables parents to create a special time with their children to learn about and appreciate their heritage," writes ECEI.

To help underscore this value, the Jewish Community Federation and Endowment Fund has shared a promotional video on YouTube, entitled "PJ Library: Building Children's Jewish Identity." It is posted for public viewing (and sharing!) on the SFJCF YouTube channel:
