THE IMPACT OF PJ LIBRARY is being observed not only by the PJ Library communities and their families, but also by the press. Newspaper coverage of the PJ Library program continues to grow, as major and secondary markets recognize the value of the free Jewish children’s book program to local families.

PJ Library program director Marcie Greenfield Simons has worked in recent months to help shine additional spotlights on the program before the eyes of editors in the Jewish and secular press by writing OpEd pieces. Several were picked up by select Jewish publications.


In her Tikkun Daily piece, “Books as Community Building Blocks: How PJ Library Changes Jewish Lives,” Marcie Greenfield Simons writes that “PJ Library’s award-winning books help parents and children alike learn the back stories on holidays, recipes, and customs so that everyone is brought into the fold.”


In her Jewish Scene piece, “Building a Brighter Jewish Future, Book by Book,” she says “In many places, PJ Library books arrive in individual homes but then a wider community connection takes place.
