The Jewish community in the St. Louis area is being challenged by Carl and Joann Bianco. The Biancos are offering the community a $10,000 match grant to help support that PJ Library community.
According to Jewish Light report, PJ Library in St. Louis was originally sponsored locally by Michael and Leslie Litwack. Funding has since come from Jewish Federation, the Kranzberg Family Foundation, The Trio Foundation of St. Louis with matching funds from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF).
In addition, every kindergarten class in Yokneam, St. Louis' sister-city in Israel, receives a PJ Library book monthly. It is funded by the Ministry of Education, which matches funding from the HGF and other donors.
