The Jewish Book Council will be honoring PJ Library program's founder, Harold Grinspoon, on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, in New York City as part of a 2010 National Jewish Book Awards winners ceremony.
Harold Grinspoon is the Jewish Book Council's 2010 IMPACT Award winner. The award recognizes Harold's focus on "Jewish outreach through the PJ Library program," according to the Jewish Book Council.
The Jewish Book Council is committed to promoting and advocating for Jewish literature. "The preservation, transmission, study, interpretation, and celebration of both sacred and secular texts have been, and remain, hallmarks of Jewish civilization," states the organization.
The 2010 National Jewish Book Awards Ceremony is being held at the Center for Jewish History in New York City on March 9 at 8 p.m. The ceremony is open to the public and will be followed by an author signing and book sales.
The hosts of the event are Ari L. Goldman and Alana Newhouse.
