How to Host a Hanukkah Watch Party

A family gathered around a menorah, smiling

Hanukkah is a great time for partying, both to celebrate miracles (the miracle of the oil and the Maccabees’ miraculous victory over the Greeks) and to spread light at the darkest time of the year. What makes a perfect Hanukkah gathering? Good friends, delicious food, and some great music are really all that’s needed.

Need an easy idea for a Get Together? Try hosting a watch party. Check out our suggestions for viewing (with or without kids) and delicious snacks, plus links to candle-lighting tutorials and how-tos. For more great Hanukkah gathering tips and activities, check out page 27 of PJ Library’s A Time to Hope guide.

And don’t forget – if you’re a current PJ Library subscriber family, we’d love to help you get together with friends and neighbors.
