HGF to Participate in the Second Jewish Legacy Forum

The Harold Grinspoon Foundation, along with the Jewish Federations of North America and others, is participating in the second Jewish Legacy Forum.

This year’s forum will be hosted May 3-5 by the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City in Kansas City. The Jewish Legacy Forum provides Jewish community professional and lay leaders with three days of learning, networking, and sharing about Create a Jewish Legacy programming.

“We will focus on the best and most successful practices and models from the field,” states the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City website. “Sessions will be beneficial for both entry level and more experienced communities.”

In addition to presentations from communities with formalized legacy building programs, keynote speakers will also offer valuable insights. Scheduled speakers include:

June Kim Penrod—June Penrod provides marketing expertise for Crescendo’s Gift Legacy eMarketing product. She travels across the country and consults with nonprofits on their marketing programs in order to promote the best method of bringing in responses and gifts.

Jerry Silverman—Gerrald (Jerry) Silverman is President and Chief Executive Officer of The Jewish Federations of North America. He is a highly experienced leader in the North American Jewish community and longtime corporate executive, with over 25 years of experience.

Rabbi Amy Wallk Katz, Ph.D.—Rabbi Katz has been involved in Jewish education for more than 20 years, working in both formal and informal settings. She is currently the Rabbi of Temple Beth El in Springfield, MA.
