Shaboom! Episode 3: Everything is Amazing

PJ Library has partnered with BimBam to bring a fun, educational, webseries, Shaboom! to life. If your kids love Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood or Little Einsteins, they'll love Shaboom!  The show makes use of the same playful, educational, vibe but with the bonus of Jewish values and themes built in to each story. In this week's episode we learn about the value of gratitude and giving thanks, or hakarat hatov.

Translated literally, hakarat hatov means "recognizing the good." In addition to watching this week's Shaboom! a few simple activities will help further develop the idea of "recognizing the good" in children.

For starters, you can have a conversastion with your children about the best parts of your day. Take turns naming your three favorite moments from the day's activities. Older children may enjoy writing "thank you" cards or spending a day volunteering. The whole family can build a "Gratitude Tree" together too. You can also read a story like Todah or Thank You, For Me!
