Get Together FAQs

To apply to host your Get Together and if you have not used Blackbaud (our application system) before, click here and then click the 'New Applicant' button to set up your account.

If you are applying for a Get Together and have used Blackbaud, click here and then log in with the email and password you previously used. A new application will pop up for you to fill out. (**Do not click on the new applicant button**).

To apply, you will also need to copy and paste your personal application code, which you can find in the Get Together email in your inbox.

Yes, you can apply as many times as you want but can receive no more than three (3) financial reimbursements for this round of Get Togethers that ends June 7, 2024.

We encourage you to celebrate Jewish life together with your friends — there are many fun and easy ways to Get Together for Shabbat or Havdalah, volunteering and Jewish holidays. Check out our ideas page!

We've provided a few themes and suggestions for Get Together events you could host, but if you've got another idea for a great gathering centered around Jewish holidays, culture, or values, we'd LOVE to support it! Your Get Together plan must also meet the following criteria:

• Invite at least 2 other Jewish families (other than your own), no more than 10 families.
• Centered around Jewish holidays, culture, or values.

Get Togethers do not include the celebration of personal milestone events (e.g., birthday, anniversary, bris, or baby naming), Jewish organizational outings/events, or events open to the community. You also cannot combine multiple reimbursements for the same Get Together Experience.

You are required to have at least two other families raising Jewish children (other than your own) attend the gathering. You can host up to 10 families at your gathering. Please keep in mind Get Togethers are intended to bring small groups of people together to deepen, renew or create new friendships.

While we would love for Get Togethers to spark a routine with your friends and celebrating Jewish life, you do not need to do the same thing with the same people.

No problem! If the date of the gathering changes, it's ok - we will see the change when you fill out the report after your gathering (remember you only have through June 21, 2024 to host your Get Together and apply for reimbursement.)

If your activity changes, the event must still meet the criteria for the Get Together program.

We will send you an email within 3-5 business days to let you know if your application request has been approved or denied.

Please note: We cannot accept applications for events that have occurred prior to August 28, 2024.

We would love for your PJ Our Way kids to Get Together with their friends too! Parents need to apply and submit the report on behalf of your child. The Get Together can be for families or just PJOW kids only. The Get Together still need to meet the following criteria:

Invite at least 2 other Jewish families (other than your own), no more than 10 families.

Centered around Jewish holidays, culture, or values.

You can click here to log back into your account to submit your report when ready. Make sure to use the same email you used when submitting your application. Once you're logged in you should see this screen:

Click on “Reports” to access the report that you must complete after you have your gathering.

To upload your photo(s), click on the “Upload Photos” button on the report. These pictures WILL NOT BE USED in any way without your explicit written permission. See “Do I need to submit photos?” for more information.

All reports are due no later than June 21, 2024 (11:59pm EDT) in order to be eligible for reimbursement.

You can log back into the report later, but make sure you hit the “Save” button before you leave the report. Don't forget to hit “Submit” when you have finished the report. If you don't hit either Submit or Save you will have to start over!

Photos submitted with reports WILL NOT BE USED in any way without explicit written permission. If a family cannot take pictures due to Shabbat restrictions or they do not want to photograph their guests, they can take images of the preparation, table setup, or activities they will do during the Get Together. Feel free to be creative!

You will receive an email shortly after your report is approved asking you to select your preferred method of reimbursement (virtual or physical debit card).

For the physical option you will receive it in 7-10 days for each Get Together that you submit a report for. There is no activation required for the card. The cards will be sent to you in a simple white envelope. Virtual cards should arrive 3-5 days after your report is submitted.

For Canadian residents: The card will be issued in USD. It can be used at retailers across Canada. A 2% conversion fee applies for purchases in Canada.

Electronic debit cards have a 3 month expiration date. Physical debit cards have a 6 month expiration date. If either type of card expires with a balance there is an $18 fee deducted from the card to reissue it. Please contact, together@pjlibrary.org if your card has expired and you wish to get a new one.

No, you do not have to wait for reimbursement to apply/hold your next Get Together. Remember you can host many Get Togethers and get reimbursed up to three (3) times through June 21, 2024.
