If you love cuddling up with your kids and reading together, you will love PJ library! Being part of PJ library means that your c hildren will each get a FREE Jewish children’s book every month. The books are age-appropriate, kid-tested, beautifully illustrated and best of all - they are about Jewi sh holidays, values and traditions. You’ll love having a new PJ library book each month almost as much as your children!
Being a part of PJ library is about mor e than just receiving books and music, though. It’s about strengthening Jewish identity, and connecting our community’s Jewish families through special events and programmin g. Whether you’re raising your Jewish children in an affiliated, unaffiliated, interfaith, or non-traditional household, anyone between the ages of newborn and 8 years old is welcome to participate !
PJ Library goes beyond the books. We provide opportunities for families to gather together throughout the year. Whether you are joining us for weekly To t Shabbat, apple cider tasting in the fall or a make-your-own seder plate program in the spring, our programs are a great way for you and your children to make new friend s and connect to the Durham-Chapel Hill Jewish community. Additionally, older children can partake in PJ Our Way, which allows 9 through 12 year olds to pick their own chapter books online every month.
