About this Community

PJ Library in New York helps families with children 6 months to 11 years old create treasured Jewish moments from the simple act of reading stories together. We are excited to learn about your family and offer you personalized tools to create fun and meaningful experiences with the kids in your life.

PJ Library will send your family a free book each month from January-November and music in December. These gifts celebrate the joy of Jewish culture, values, and tradition—we hope you find value in them and enjoy sharing them with your family!

We are mindful that books at different levels may best suit children with special needs up to and over age 11. If you have a child with special needs, we’d love to include you in the PJ Library community. Please contact us at

Beyond the books, we are here to help you connect with other families through local events. Our monthly e-newsletter, which you will automatically receive once you sign up for PJ Library, includes a list of upcoming programs in your neighborhood, and we post regular event updates on our Facebook page! We invite you to let us know what kinds of programs and activities are important to your family.
