Fans of trucks, excavators, cranes, dump trucks, cement mixers, and other construction machines are sure to be delighted by the action in Construction Site Hanukkah Lights, a new title in the PJ Library lineup going out to subscribers this November. This lively picture book, written by Sherri Duskey Rinker with illustrations by Shawna J.C. Tenney, brings together the excitement of Hanukkah and the irresistible appeal of construction vehicles. Toddlers will love discovering how each vehicle has an important role to play as the trucks demonstrate that teamwork makes a Hanukkah celebration possible.
The rhyming story, the colorful illustrations, and the engaging lift-the-flap format encourage participation and repeated readings — exactly what the PJ Library Book Selection Committee hopes for in a book selected for young children and their families.
