THE JEWISH FEDERATIONS have been meeting at General Assemblies for more than eight decades. This year's General Assembly (GA) was held in Baltimore and played host to thousands. The Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) took full advantage of the engaged crowd to introduce the latest PJ Library news along with updates about other Foundation programs.
In a decorated booth, HGF celebrated the launch of Voices & Visions and Life and Legacy, two new programs. It also hosted a number of small and large networking opportunities and informational sessions. Voices & Visions handed out tote bags decorated with the images of the program's posters, and PJ Library handed out copies of it's latest PJ book, How do Dinosaurs Say Happy Chanukah? by Jane Yolen.
ABOUT THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
The GA is an annual conference held by the Jewish Federation of North America. Its purpose is to connect Jewish leaders, professionals, and organizations to enable them to address critical issues in an environment that promotes problem solving and development.
HGF AT THE GA
All of HGF’s programs were featured at the conference, including PJ Library, Sifriyat Pijama, Voices & Visions, JCamp 180, and Life & Legacy. Attendees of the conference showed great enthusiasm for HGF’s flagship programs.
Marcie Greenfield Simons, the director of the PJ Library, also attended the conference. She describes the event by calling it "an opportunity to showcase the tremendous success of PJ Library, Sifriyat Pijama, and JCamp 180."
"The Harold Grinspoon Foundation exhibition booth was the place with the best food and the most buzz," Greenfield Simons says. "There was lots of discussion, lots of exchanging of innovative ideas, lots of energy!"
