Celebrating the First Year of PJ Library in Australia

PJ Library in AustraliaWELL INTO ITS FIRST YEAR, PJ Library in Australia represents the first full-fledged international expansion of the PJ Library program.

 

While Sifriyat Pijama, PJ Library's sister program in Israel, paved the way for the Harold Grinspoon Foundation and PJ Library to expand outside North America, the Australian expansion represents the first overseas version of the English language program.

 

 

PJ Library in Australia is implemented in partnership with the Shalom Institute at Shalom College and the Jewish Communal Appeal (JCA).

 

 

The PJ Library program in Australia officially launched in November of 2011. It provides the gift of free books and music to children between the ages of 6 months and 6 years across New South Wales and the Australia Capital Territory on a monthly basis.

 

 

With a growing, active community and a dedicated team of program professionals, the PJ Library program in Australia has established itself quickly as a family favorite. To see some of the faces and families making up the PJ program in Australia, check out the slideshow below:
