Yom Ha’atzmaut is Israeli Independence Day, celebrating the creation of Israel on May 14, 1948. PJ Library families will likely spend some time preparing for the holiday by reading a few related books aloud.
To help facilitate that activity, we’ve collected a page of PJ Library selections relating to Israel. In addition, we have pulled together a fun list of holiday activities and resources.
SHALOM SESAME’S HOLIDAY CHANNEL
While reading PJ books aloud as a family would be our first suggested Yom Ha’atzmaut activity for families, there is another fun idea worth sharing. PJ partner Shalom Sesame has compiled a YouTube channel made up of Israel-related videos. Embedded below are several of our favorite Grover videos from the channel. Enjoy!
