Baseball season really gets going in May, and that's why PJ Library chose this month to send out its popular selection, Hammerin' Hank: The Life of Hank Greenberg.
Hammerin' Hank is a PJ selection that is mailed out to readers ages eight and up. Written by Yona Zeldis McDonough and illustrated by Malcah Zeldis, the book tells the story of baseball superstar Hank Greenberg.
Greenberg, the first Jewish inductee to the Baseball Hall of Fame, helped lead the way for "outsiders" to break through barriers in American professional sports.
