Episode Notes
Today’s story is based on an Ethiopian folktale, “The Lioness’ Whisker.” The Ethiopian Jewish community has existed for at least 15 centuries and have a unique holiday called Sig'd that celebrates the relationship between Judaism and the Torah. Another interesting fact is that the main language of the Ethiopian Jewish community was Amharic but the Bible was read in a language called Ge'ez.
