Bedtime stories encourage Jewish literacy for children

PJ Library program finds a place in Boston’s Jewish homes
Those fleeting moments just before bed, when a child is eagerly listening to his or her favorite bedtime story, is an intimate and nurturing time. That is part of the concept behind the PJ Library, a Jewish education and outreach initiative of the West Springfield-based Harold Grinspoon Foundation. The Jewish Community Centers of Greater Boston recently joined the program in an effort to reach out to young Jewish families in the region.
