Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible and approved as a PJ Library Implementing Partner, an organization must:
- Provide federal IRS documentation of your organization’s non-profit, 501(c)(3) status. If this documentation is more than five years old, please request a new copy from your local IRS office. If you are a synagogue, please request our affidavit confirming that you operate as a religious/educational/charitable organization.
- Agree to offer The PJ Library program on a community-wide basis.
- Agree to make the program available to every child between the ages of 6 months and at least 5 ½ years* , on a first-come, first-served basis.
As an Implementing Partner (i.e. Federation, JCC, synagogue, etc.), an organization will:
- Agree to fund The PJ Library for at least three years
- Offer the program FREE to each child who subscribes, and abide by the Renewal Policies
- Provide address lists for a Community-wide Mailing
- Endeavor to raise funds for any children on a waiting list
*The PJ Library program now runs through age 8. Communities are welcome to register children through that age.
